Barefoot Dance Planning Meeting

Many thanks to Agnes for hosting the Barefoot Dance planning meeting at her cosy flat in Exeter. The following was discussed:

 

1. Roles and responsibilities within the group.  A discussion about the roles carried out by members in the group currently. A reminder that contributions from all members is welcome in particular to help set up and clear up, do the music, hold the space, create the heart space.

 

2. Communication with group members. It was agreed to look at email options again and for Karen to take on this role. Also that Laurence would use a website to create some postcards to hand out/put up. We also discussed having some kind of board up around the door into the hall with up to  date information on whats coming up (Karen to sort)

 

3. Teachers for the future. Requests made for Joanna Waters (Laurence to ask Alex to contact), Shamanic Trance Dance and Jules  (Biodanza) – Laurence to contact.

 

4. The dance weekend on 15th/16th/17th June. We agreed the cost will remain the same as last year at £130 and run along similar lines. More details to follow shortly. We discussed Jo Hardy’s request for themes relevant to the group currently and will bring an exercise to the group to think about this shortly (Mark to lead).

 

5. Spending – we agreed to purchase the following: 4 cushions, a microphone with cable (£40), some more rope lights, some other lights for the hall and some stretch fabric for decoration.
